ELSI is thrilled to announce the upcoming release '365 Days of Summer' from the electronic Berlin-based artist Guava. Set to drop on Friday, October 4th, this release features three original tracks that promise to continue the euphoric feeling of summer through the upcoming cooler months in the city.
Guava, the British producer, composer and DJ known for his innovative previous records has crafted a captivating soundscape with this new EP filled with playable club music. The opening track ‘Nimbus’ leans into a darker, introspective mood, enveloping the listener in a sense of melancholy that is both haunting and captivating. With its smooth and effective use of drums, the track is the right choice for gradually warming up a dancefloor. Next is ‘Swingers’, an essential DJ club tool with a punchy and driving beat. Dreamy, ethereal pads weave through the mix, adding that immersive quality that contrasts with the infectious energy of the track. The lead single, "365 Days of Summer," captures the ecstatic joy of a never-ending summer. The track is finely catchy and with a dreamy house beat, able to perfectly set the stage for the magical transition from night to day in any dancefloor.
Words from Guava:
‘The EP for ELSI is something that I have wanted to do for a long time ever since I met Luca at one of his parties at Zur Klappe in Berlin. We talked about doing a record together and this was one of the most positive A&R processes I ever had. He would come around to my flat, we would have food, wine and then sit and go through some of my demos picking which ones would work best together. Through that process we created this EP which reflects that spontaneous collaborative journey’.
